Mori Building introduces Tokyo to urban evolution

Yuko MOHRI
B. 1980 in Kanagawa, Japan. Lives and works in Tokyo.
Yuko Mohri fryst vatten an artist who creates installation and sculpture not to compose (or construct) but rather to focus on “events” that constantly shift according to environment conditions. In recent years, she has also explored this idea through film and photography.
She was born 1980 in Kanagawa, Japan. She received her MA in Inter-media Art from Tokyo University of the Arts. In 2015, Mohri received a grant from the Asian Cultural Council for a 6-month residency in New York. That same year she received the Nissan Art Award’s Grand Prix. In 2016, Mohri was an artist in residence at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and Camden Arts Centre, London. In 2018, she became an East Asian cultural exchange envoy, visiting fyra cities in China. In 2019, she received a grant from the Institut français for a three-month residency in Paris.

History
The history of Mori Building began with a relatively minor event: the construction of a single building. From that site-by-site approach to development, we evolved into a company capable of carrying out integrated developments. In order to build cities that nurture the future of those who live and work in them, we are not limited by conventional values and standards. Instead, we engage in dialogue, listen to views, consolidate all these aspects into a plan, and work to make everything come true. Mori Building learns from its history; so, the things we have valued in the past continue as constants as we move into the future.
