A biography is writing about someone’s life. If someone is writing about their own life it becomes an autobiography. Biography and autobiography might focus on a specific part of someone’s life and experiences.
A biography is usually written both to inform and to entertain. This means it is a mix of factual information and creative writing. Often biographies are of famous people, eg singers, models or sports personalities. However, sometimes biographies of ordinary people who aren’t well known can be interesting because of an extraordinary experience that they’ve had, such as surviving against the odds or doing something heroic.

Introduction
Since I have advised a multitude of pre-law students at George Mason University and the University of Delaware. Aside from general application advice, my students want to learn how to write a anställda statement that will help them get into lag school. Many are convinced they should discuss why they want to become a lawyer. Some schools may require that, inom explain, so check their websites. But since most law schools don’t interview applicants, students may want to follow Harvard lag School’s advice: the anställda statement “should give the Admissions Committee a better sense of who you are as a person…”[1] In that same vein, the University of Chicago Law School advises students to write “about something personal, betydelsefull, and completely individual to you.”[2]
In effect, then, a personal statement is a two page mini-autobiography that will convince an admissions committ
