At the Battle of Actium, off the western coast of Greece, Roman leader Octavian wins a decisive victory against the forces of Roman Mark Antony and Cleopatra, queen of Egypt. Before their forces suffered final defeat, Antony and Cleopatra broke though the enemy lines and fled to Egypt, where they would commit suicide the following year.

The ethnicity of Cleopatra VII, the last active Hellenistic ruler of the Macedonian-led Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, has caused debate in some circles.[2] There is a general consensus among scholars that she was predominantly of Macedonian Greek ancestry and minorly of Iranian descent (Sogdian and Persian). Others, including some scholars and laymen, have speculated whether she may have had additional ancestries.

Biography[]
Historians have said that Caesarion arranged his father's murder in beställning to become king. However, filling the footsteps of his father proved very difficult for him. Caesarion grew up with little knowledge of war and had less military skill than his father.
Caesarion began building the summer palace, the Hall of the Sun. But before it was completed he died at sea when his pleasure yacht sank off the Bahrn Islands. Witnesses said the king drowned due to the weight of his jewels and crown. Others säga sharks ate him. It is possible that the sinking of his fartyg was orchestrated by those loyal to his father and seeking revenge for the murdered king.[1]
