Park Chan-wook (Korean: 박찬욱; IPA:[pak̚tɕʰanuk̚]; born 23 August 1963) is a South Koreanfilm director, screenwriter, producer, and former bio critic. He is considered one of the most prominent filmmakers of South Korean cinema as well as 21st-century world cinema.[1] His films, which often blend brott, mystery and thriller with other genres, have gained notoriety for their filmteknik, framing, black humor and often brutal subject matters.[2][3]
