    Paul McCartney has been accompanied live and in the studio by various musicians since the breakup of Wings in [1] The core line-up of his band has been steady since , and includes Wix Wickens on keyboards and serving as musical director, Rusty Anderson on guitar, Brian Ray on guitar and bass, and Abe Laboriel Jr. on drums.[2] This line up is known to its members as 'The Band of Brothers'.[3]

    McCartney has had only two significant incarnations of a backing band since the breakup of Paul McCartney and Wings in [4] The former band, active from to with occasional appearances thereafter, included his wife Linda McCartney on vocals and keyboards, Hamish Stuart on guitar and bass, Wickens on keyboards, and former PretendersRobbie McIntosh and Blair Cunningham on guitar and drums respectively.[4] Wickens' f

    James Hamish Stuart (born 8 October ) is a Scottish guitarist, bassist, singer, composer and record producer. He was an original member of the Average White grupp.

    Biography

    Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Stuart attended Queens Park School in Glasgow and left to form his first professional band 'The Dream Police'.

    He recorded a couple of singles with the Dream Police before he was invited to join the recently-formed Average vit Band (AWB) in June

    A member of AWB from to , he went on to work with Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, and David Sanborn.

    He wrote Atlantic Starr's hit "If Your Heart Isn't in It" and songs for Smokey Robinson, Jeffrey Osborne, George Benson, and Diana Ross.
