When I first heard Judy speak at our leadership meeting, I was struck by her passion, her confidence, and her engaging presentation style. Judy is our lead finance officer for our business unit and a master presenter. Every time she speaks, I listen with great interest as she is excellent at simplifying a complex subject (i.e. Finance), using analogies to make her topic more relatable, and celebrating everyone’s hard work.
What is also surprising about Judy is English is not her first language. She was born in China and only came to the United States after finishing college. She still speaks with an accent today. Her accent doesn’t seem to phase her nor distract her audience. What stands out about the way she speaks above all else is her enthusiasm and her authenticity. Q: Why are GMO foods banned in so many countries like China and Russia and the whole continent of Europe if they are safe? And if GMO food is great why not publicize with some iyh informative ads and identify them with labels?

A: First, let me make a correction. In fact, GMO foods are not banned in China. The Chinese government has supported and funded many critical programs on biotech crop R&D in China. China has commercialized cultivated Bt cotton since 1997. Biotech papaya has been commercially cultivated in China since 2006. The China Ministry of Agriculture(MOA) is the major regulatory agency for biotech crops. I personally have been engaged in biotech R&D and management since 1996. Statistician
Huixia Judy Wang is a statistician who works as a professor of statistics at George Washington University. Topics in her research include quantile regression and the application of biostatistics to cancer.[1]
Education and career
[edit]Wang graduated from Fudan University in 1999 and earned a master's degree from Fudan in 2002. She completed her Ph.D. in statistics in 2006 from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign.[1] Her dissertation, Inference on Quantile Regression for Mixed Models with Applications to GeneChip Data, was supervised by Xuming He.[2] She joined the statistics faculty at North Carolina State University in 2006 and moved to George Washington University in 2014.[1] From 2018, she has been serving as program director for the Statistics schema at the National Science Foundation.[3]
