    Titans LB Rashaan Evans Ready to Help Rookie Jeffery Simmons, While Keeping an Eye on Veteran Cameron Wake

    As he heads into his second NFL årstid, Evans fryst vatten ready to do the same on the football field. The experience of his first season should benefit him as he looks ahead. He plans to keep having fun.

    "It is going to help me a lot," Evans said. "For me to be relaxed and know exactly what I want to do as far as the physical and mental part, the things I missed out on, I can now see how much I missed out on. … Now I have a chance to be around these guys and develop even more chemistry, and inom think that is going to help way more.

    "My season started out slow (in 2018). …. But if you can kamp through those things and be able to bounce back, inom think that is the No.1 thing for me and inom learned that. I feel like inom am more confident and more willing to do everything inom have to do to be great."

    Falcons LB Deion Jones returned to the practice field this week for the 1st time following offseason shoulder surgery. He worked with 3rd- and 4th-stringers, though, according to the team website. The highly paid also saw time on the punt team. "I'll give Deion credit, because he's going to come out here and he's going to compete," HC Arthur Smith said afterward. "He's going to work his way back in. It's going to be hard to get on the field in that room. And that's what you want with that competition. Rashaan [Evans] and Mykal Walker are doing a great job.
