    She was trained at LSMT in Musical Theatre and has an impressive array of performance credits including: I’d Do Anything (Finalist), The BBC’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Titania), My Family (Terry), Hooked (Odette), Big Bruvva The Musical at the Edinburgh Fringe (Terry). She has also danced with prestigious companies including The Arabic Dance Association and starred in TV Commercials for companies such as Vicks.

     

    When she’s not on stage, Manal works with several charity organisations – teaching free style funk and hip hop to disadvantaged children, and in the past has worked as a support teacher in a special needs school.

     

    And if all of that’s not enough, she also teaches belly dancing, fitness classes and performs in a Cabaret/Burlesque trio around London.

    It’s not easy getting a break in the acting industry. Just ask Manal Al-Feitury who has taken on jobs as a singer, model, dancer, teacher, studio instructor, therapist, sports masseuse and waitress before landing an acting role. But even while starring in a feature film, the aspiring actress has no time to rest, dancing at festivals, dressing as a policewoman for a bar promotion in Shoreditch and modeling jewelry and swimwear in Jamaica. Born to a Libyan father and a British mother brought up in Pakistan, Al-Feitury has lived in London all her life. She attended The King Fahad Academy then went on to specialize in applied behavior analysis of children with learning difficulties.     Right, I’ve got to get my social media shit together. This is one thing I’ve realised is actually holding me back from inching towards celebrity status. The paparazzi know who I am, but there’s not enough of a buzz around me for them to bother papping. Some full-on social media marketing will help, but it will be difficult to find time for it in my heavy and unpredictable schedule. I also need to learn as I go, as social media really isn’t something I have a clue about yet.

    Now I need to push this blog, along with Twitter, LinkedIn, IMDB, Casting Call Pro,  and my Facebook fanpage. First I need to write this blog.

    You wouldn’t guess this from meeting me for the first time, as I come across as a confident nutcase, but I am actually quite shy. This means I find it really hard and pretty embarrassing to big up myself on social media, and create a PR image for myself. But it’s something I have just got to face up to, push through the cringes and get on with it. .
